First time ever dining here, it was a Friday night and we went around 7:45/8:00pm. We were able to walk right in and be seated with no wait. We decided to try I believe #4 seafood boil: crab, shrimp and crawfish with potatoes, sausage and corn. The food was great, the serving size was generous, way too much for just us two! We took leftovers home. The seafood bread that came out first was delicious, she brought 3 pieces for the 2 of us and at first I was like oh man...wish she would of brought 4 so we can both have 2 but it was very rich, I couldn't eat a second piece. The food kind of took a while considering it wasn't that busy but not unreasonably long. The tables are covered with white paper so we grabbed crayons from the front and drew and played game. The whole restaurant is covered in graffiti which I wasn't aware so take a sharpie!!!

the food was delicious, snow crabs were easy to break but this time it was served not as hot as I would like. It was busier than usual so I understand that they wanted to wait until all members of the party's dishes were ready before serving us. I really liked the theme of the restaurant (pirate ship).

If this were closer, we'd definitely go more often. It reminded me of a Joe's Crab Shack with a okay area did kids. The place was covered in graffiti. So much that u wonder if some of it is fake. Seems unrealistic for the writing to be everywhere. In spite of that, the restaurant has a good vibe and a huge waiting room, so I'm sure they're popular. The service wasn't very good even tho they weren't busy. The seafood bread was delicious. I could eat just that. They were out of the gum o & etouffee, so we went with fried scallops (we'd never had scallops fried) & Cajun fried rice, silver we'd never had that either. Sadly, there is nothing Cajun about their Cajun fried rice. In fact, it was very bland fried rice. It tasted like lean cuisine. Very disappointing. When we mentioned that the rice had Jo Cajun seasoning and asked for more, the waitress explained that there's nothing Cajun about the fried rice. It's only called that since they're a Cajun restaurant. So disappointed by the false advertising. We knew we were in a Cajun restaurant & would face never ordered regular fried rice. The fried clams were okay. Wouldn't get them again. I think if there were seasoning in the breading or they were served with a good garlic aioli they'd have been good. Just weird with cocktail sauce. Looking forward to going back when we have bigger appetites since a lot of the food looked delicious and the seafood bread is amazing.

Tried this place because a friend recommended it and I'm so happy I did. The restaurant allows customers to sign their name on the walls and chairs so don't be alarmed if you see a lot of "graffiti" everywhere as that's the vibe. The music was on point as they had a good playlist mixed with Hits/R&B going. The food was great! I had the appetizer platter and wings because I really wanted a mix of the apps on the list. For the apps, I got the fried okra, fish sticks, and hush puppies; for the wings I did lemon pepper and buffalo; we also had a side of seafood bread which was SOOO GOOD! I also got some sweet tea and as a southern girl living in the north, this was the best sweet tea as it's truly sweet. The prices were all at market price so it may seem expensive but Pittsburgh isn't located on the coast so I'm not surprised with the prices. Everything was great, the food, the service, and the music. I will say the place does get packed so go early especially on the weekend. I definitely will be back again.

We came on a weekday, and the restaurant was pretty empty. The decor was really unique and kept the theme going throughout the restaurant. Very nice. We sat at the bar to have a few drinks and decided to split a seafood boil. The sauce on the meat wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked, but it was good. The crab legs had a good amount of meat in them and were easy to crack. The corn was overcooked and chewy, so I could not eat it. The potatoes were good, though. The cheesy seafood bread stole the show for me. It was hot, buttery, cheesy, savory, and delicious. Definitely not a bad spot for a boil.

Food: Had a boil that was pretty sizable and pretty tasty and they had other menu options that looked good to me, like sandwiches. They have prebuilt boils that are a little cheaper but still expensive. That said, you can easily split them Service: Sat at the bar and the bartender was very helpful to us and treated us kindly Ambiance: The inside is more flattering than the outside. They're trying to create a Maryland seafood restaurant vibe inside and it's pretty cool Overall: Large portions and an interesting menu that will bring me back in the future. The customization of the boils is a cool feature for sure. Would go back

My trusty sidekick and I have been wanting to try this place out for a while so when the opportunity presented itself we had to go! I must admit I was a little nervous because the reviews weren't that great but they were trending upward for the past month so we said let's go and so glad we did! Service was great - our waitress made herself available when we needed her but wasn't too pushy. The complimentary bread they gave - delish! We built our own boil and it was super! We got the scallops, green mussels and the shrimp with heads on (way more flavorful!). A little pricey but so worth it. Seafood was fresh and delicious! The only thing I would change would be the sauce - next time we'll get the everything sauce where they mix all the flavors together. We opted for the old bay garlic butter which was good but could've used a little more heat. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back!

My daughter and I love food, and we really love seafood. I wanted to treat her to a new adventure so we both decided to try Storming Crab while we were out and about in Homestead which isn't very often. The young guy that was standing at the host station was busy on his cell phone and didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in. Thankfully Andrew was awesome! Andrew seated us and was also bartender and our server. He took the time to explain how Storming Crab dishes could be ordered and was great with recommendations. The seafood bread was a big notch up from regular garlic bread topped with a creamy spread of seafood and melted cheese. It's very easy to eat all the seafood bread and nothing else. My daughter ordered the Create Your Own Combo of 1 lb. Snow Crab Legs with potato and corn, with spicy Cajun butter. The crab legs were a generous portion and stood no chance with my daughter. I ordered the Whole Lobster Create Your Own Combo with spicy Cajun butter and was a bit disappointed. For the price of the lobster, the lobster was more shell than meat meaning the claw meat was a lot smaller than the shell and was a bit tough. The experience was fine, and the food was good, a nice change from Joe's Crab Shack or Red Lobster. That said I wouldn't mind going back to try other combos.
